Description
The Sustainable School Food Summit aims to reduce the barriers to plant-based school meals becoming more widespread and popular. It encourages a shift in mindsets amongst students and parents by demonstrating that sustainable school food can be delicious, healthy, affordable, and planet-friendly. It also helps schools reduce carbon emissions from school canteens and increases environmental awareness within the school community.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge: Understand the environmental impacts of food systems and the benefits of sustainable, plant-based school meals.
Skills: Develop problem-solving skills through workshops and collaborative discussions on sustainable food systems.
Attitude: Build positive attitudes towards healthy, low-carbon food choices and behaviour change.
