Description
The school talk will introduce students to the daily challenges that underprivileged elderly living alone face in their daily lives, from work, to living, and eating. Students are encouraged to reflect on ways to help those in need in their communities.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge: Identify the multifaceted challenges faced by underprivileged elderly in Hong Kong, including housing conditions, food insecurity, and the necessity of late-life labor.
Attitude: Cultivate deep empathy and respect for the elderly while fostering a sense of community responsibility.
Skills: Develop critical reflection skills to identify social needs and brainstorm practical, localized ways to support vulnerable neighbors.
