This 1-day course aims to give teachers the skills, knowledge and confidence to take the curriculum outside the classroom. This fully interactive training day will explore:


- The benefits of outdoor learning

- Practical lesson ideas

- Facilitation styles

- Risk–benefit analysis

- Overcoming common barriers

Participants will gain hands-on experience with the key principles of outdoor learning, along with practical, transferable activities they can apply in their own settings.

Learning Outcomes

1. Understand the benefits of learning beyond the classroom environment;
2. Understand the principles and concepts relating to managing groups and facilitating learning beyond the classroom environment.
3. Plan activity linked to any studies and defined outcomes through learning beyond the classroom environment.
