Description

Comprising three core sessions, this programme includes an Air Quality Workshop, a Visit to the Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change at CUHK, and a CUHK Campus Eco-Walk. Throughout the activities, students will work in groups to operate portable air quality monitors, collecting and comparing real-time indoor and outdoor data to deepen their understanding of healthy air and ecological environments.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge: Acquire foundational concepts of air science and climate change, comprehend the environmental variations between indoor and outdoor micro-climates (e.g., classrooms, campus eco-spots, and local communities), and recognize the impacts of air pollution on human health and ecosystems.

Attitude: Develop environmental stewardship and community empathy through guided museum exploration and ecological inquiry, fostering a strong sense of responsibility toward low-carbon living and sustainable development.

Skills: Master the operation of portable air quality monitoring devices, learn to collect and analyze real-time environmental data, and apply data-driven scientific inquiry to formulate concrete, actionable solutions for campus and community air quality improvement.
