Preliminary Preparation Phase

• Feasibility study

• Teacher training (4 hours in total)

• Development of school-based teaching materials (Content for 8 lessons; including presentation slides, worksheets, worksheet answer keys, plant growth logs, and seed germination experiment logs)


Planting Phase

• Indian Birthwort (Aristolochia indica) saplings (approximately 2 years old) and other suitable plant saplings

• Scientific inquiry tools

• On-site technical consultation and support (1 session)


Teaching and Learning Phase

• Outreach lecture (1 session)

• Visit to a native tree nursery (1 session, 30 participants)

• In-school workshop (1 session)

Learning Outcomes

• Ecological Knowledge: Understand the unique symbiotic relationship between native plants and protected, endangered butterfly species.
• Scientific Skills: Develop hands-on skills in observation, data collection, and monitoring through tracking campus plant and insect growth.
• Environmental Stewardship: Foster a deep sense of responsibility, care, and active guardianship towards local biodiversity.
