• Around 9-12 school visits per academic year (1.5-2 hours each)
• Seasonal crop planning and technical guidance
• Soil health management, composting and sustainable farming methods
• Simple tools for soil and crop monitoring
• Capacity building for teachers and students to manage campus farms
• Blended learning approach combining theory, practical farming and learning resources
Learning Outcomes
1. Understand seasonal crop growing and campus farm operations
2. Understand the relationship between soil health, resource cycling (e.g. composting), and sustainable agriculture
3. Develop basic organic farming skills (sowing, seedling care, transplanting, daily farm management)
4. Apply soil management and resource recycling practices (e.g. composting, soil regeneration)
5. Plan and manage a campus farm (crop selection, seasonal planning, maintenance)
6. Use observation and recording methods to monitor crops and soil conditions
7. Develop appreciation for land and resources, and awareness of food security
8. Understand human-nature interdependence through interdisciplinary learning
